Join Friends of the Library

FRIENDS of the Library is a nonprofit volunteer organization consisting of concerned citizens who share the belief that a strong public library is a valuable intellectual, cultural, educational, and recreational resource in the community.

The members of FRIENDS actively support the Mellinger Memorial Library.  The affairs and activities of the FRIENDS are managed and directed by the group's officers and membership.  Among other activities, FRIENDS holds a book sale each spring.

Membership is open to all individuals and groups.  Membership levels and incentives are as follows:

TALE - $10 (includes a Charter Member Bookmark, semi-annual newsletter, $1 off at the Library Book Sale)

FABLE -$30 (includes above plus a Friends of Mellinger T-shirt)

MYTH - $60 (includes above plus a commemorative plate while supplies last)

LEGEND - $100 (includes above and your name in a book)

Dues are payable yearly on the first day of January.

The business of FRIENDS is administered by the Executive Council consisting of a minimum of of a Presiding officer and a Secretary/Treasurer.  The Executive Council shall be elected by a majority vote of the general membership in attendance at the annual meeting.
