The library has an extensive collection of genealogical materials including local family histories, cemetery records and other items of interest.
Mellinger Memorial Library has three collections: family histories, cemetary information within the county, and county history, the latter provided by the Louisa County Historical Society. This publication is housed in a three-volume set at the Library.
