Borrow from another library

Our library is connected to other libraries throughout the state and nation. If you can't find an item in this library, ask library staff to help you get it from another library.

If you cannot find within our library the book, dvd, or video cassette that you want, stop in, call, or e-mail us.  Include the title, type of information desired (book or dvd, for example), and author when applicable.  We will do our best to borrow that item from another library in Iowa through the State Library.  We will also telephone you when the materials arrives in our library. You will be assessed a $2.00 fee for postage and handling. Generally, the length of time allowed for borrowing from SILO is one month unless you specify a need to keep it longer, such as for book study club.

This resource is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by State Library of Iowa.
