We invite you to spend a few moments looking at our new library Web site. With help from the State Library of Iowa and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation we are able to create a place on the Web where you, our customers, can explore, learn and get help with all your information needs.

Mellinger Memorial Library wishes to let you know that if the weather could be harmful, we do not encourage you to come to the library.  Please stay where you are safe.  If we find the weather could be dangerous to the patrons, we will close the library and reopen when the weather is less dangerous.  Closing of the library will be posted on our website at www.morningsun.lib.ia.us or you may call the library and if we do not answer we are probably not open.  We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you but we are trying to keep you all safe!

We would like to offer a HUGE thank you to the Alliant  Energy Foundation and the Louisa Community Organization for the grants that helped us complete the digitalization project of transferring microfilm and newspapers to Compact Discs and a Website.  The website link can now be found on this website under Morning Sun News Herald.  Again, a HUGE thank you for your help!
